Being on Weight Watchers means that I had to change up my eating habits. I'd done the program over 10 years ago, but the food I'd enjoyed then, doesn't seem to satisfy me me the way it did then. Time to hunt out some new things to groove on. This time, I'm enjoying these:
1. Popcorn - Salty, crunchy, hot, Popcorn hits all the right notes. I buy the 94% fat free, which gives me guilt free enjoyment. It's low in Weight Watcher points, but fills me up and feels indulgent.
2. Sriracha - Oh, Sriracha, where have you been all my life? It's hard to imagine a time before I knew of this magical stuff. I put it on everything, Meat, pizza, salad, soups...

3. Bananas - I believe that the grocery store near my home is convinced that I am raising chimpanzees. We go through a lot of bananas in a week. They are good for breakfast, with lunch, or as a late night snack. They help to curb the hunger for 0 Weight Watcher points. What could be better?
4. Fiber One Brownies - At only 2 points per serving, these are a great treat. I like the chocolate chip version. This is great for a snack or for breakfast. They are tasty and soft. The hard part is keeping the family away from them. They prefer them over regular granola bars for snacks!
5. Crystal Light Water Enhancers - This stuff is amazing. I have always been a diet soda drinker. With Weight Watchers, I have started replacing soda with water. Now, my whole family drinks water with the water enhancer added. Our favorite is Strawberry Lemonade, but my personal fave is Strawberry Pomegranate.
6. Fruit Smoothies - For Christmas, my husband bought me a Ninja. I use it almost every day to make smoothies. A banana, 2 tablespoons low-fat vanilla or plain yogurt and some fresh or frozen fruit. I like to use frozen, it gives a better consistency (our ice maker hasn't been working, so ice cubes have been a challenge for me). Check out these recipes if you'd like to whip some up for yourself!
7. McDonald's Ice Cream Cones - Sometimes, I like to pretend I'm not dieting or on Weight Watchers. I am also an ice cream addict. Anytime, anywhere, there is never NOT a good time for ice cream. I am especially fond of soft serve, McDonald's in particular. I do not do fast food, in general. But McDonald's has cones for $1 and they are only 5 points. This makes a cheap, sweet treat that the whole family loves.
8. Corn tortillas - These are my new go-to bread. I will make sandwiches, breakfast tacos or bake tortilla chips. At 1 point per tortilla, I can munch away without worry.
9. Fresh Fruits and Vegetables - Thankfully, I live in Portland, Oregon, where there are farmers markets aplenty. Most vegetables are zero points, which makes them perfect for soups, bakes, side dishes and even smoothies. Check out this cool website, that will tell you where you can find FREE produce for the picking (or sharing). Who doesn't like free?
10. Egg Beaters - I've never really seen the reasoning behind fake eggs. But, when points count, you get more bang for your buck with Egg Beaters. My favorite thing on the planet for breakfast is to cook some onions and peppers until soft. Mix in egg beaters and cook until egg product is cooked. Wrap in a warm corn tortilla and drizzle with sriracha. You could add cheese and sour cream if you want, but they are delicious as is.
Great. Now I am hungry. I'm going to make breakfast.
